Shelves Plan - Build a Floating Display Shelf

Attractive, floating wall shelves appear to be solid pieces of wood—but they're actually hollow boxes made from 1/2" plywood. This unique feature saves on material costs and makes installation a snap! Just mount a cleat (made from a 2x2) to the wall studs, slip a shelf over it, and drive in screws from the top. It's simple, but incredibly sturdy.
