Showing
off is just what this cabinet is all about. But there's plenty
of hidden storage in the lower section, too. And the small footprint
means you can tuck this 66"-high cabinet in just about any room—bedroom,
bathroom, living room, or den.
This woodworking project may be compact in size, but we didn't skimp
on strength. The case is made up of strong frame and panel assemblies.
And except for a few mortises,
all the joinery can be cut on the table saw.
To keep the cabinet from looking too boxy, we added a few added details—like
raised legs to show off the gentle arch in the lower rail and stopped
chamfers to ease the corners of the frames. On the top we used a pre-made
cove molding to add
one last eye-catching detail.
